• Run any application as Administrator by default in Windows 7

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any problems you run into doing this.

I have a few programs that I always need to run as administrator, i.e. a notepad so that I can change system protected files. I got sick of right-clicking the icon while holding shift to click run as administrator. So I set off for a simple solution, and it was difficult to find so I thought I was post what I found here.

Right click on any application shortcut and go to ‘Properties’:

Click the ‘Advanced’ button on the shortcut tab:

Check ‘Run as administrator’ then click OK:

That’s it.  If you are tired of the popup asking you if you really want to run as administrator, then you can turn that off too.
